For example, when you land your first major customer, it’s the emotion you have.  You’re fired up, but you still know that you have a lot of work ahead of you. When we go on a roller coaster or a first date, this is the sort of tension we might experience. It provides us with a kind of deep feeling and enthusiasm.  This makes us feel alive, empowered, and enthusiastic.

When something shocks us or takes us off balance, there is also acute tension. Acute stress is the reaction of the body to ensure that you react and take action to resolve the unforeseen situation. This is the crucial jolt that we need to deal with whatever comes up, whether positive or bad.

If we deal with it immediately and carry on, acute stress has no permanent detrimental consequences. Our body will return to a comfortable, balanced pre-stress condition until the stressor has been dealt with.

Building and improving durability.

Stress is important for us to work efficiently. Without burning the fire under our feet with a little tension, we will be less efficient and inspired to get stuff done. As something that makes you develop endurance, embrace the tension.

So, when you’re stuck with something and rehashing it in your head, ask yourself whether you’re ruminating or really fixing problems. Do you discuss lessons learned or fixate on a problem? Be sure you are focused on finding solutions. Dreaming of how to mitigate a crisis, or how to avoid much greater problems from blowing up.

If you’re productive, move ahead, by all means! So it’s time to turn the channel if you’re caught in a negative thinking loop. Shift your task and work on something else. This uses time more efficiently and lets you keep on track with success.
